BATGuard™ Test Results

The BATGuard™ does not neutralize chlorine. If you are cleaning with chlorine and there is no way to pool the water to neutralize naturally, you can put vitamin C powder in front of the BATGuard™ and check with test strips to ensure the runoff has been neutralized. This is recommended by the US Forest Service for neutralizing chlorine when cleaning algae-filled water tanks or other structures and has been deemed safe for fish if adequately neutralized. There are many ways to neutralize chlorine; search "how to neutralize chlorine" online.
